Kubot/Melo Repeat In Vienna

Fourth seeds Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo repeated as Erste Bank Open 500 champions on Sunday to win their second ATP World Tour team doubles title. The Polish/Brazilian pairing outlasted Barclays ATP World Tour Finals hopefuls Oliver Marach and Fabrice Martin 4-6, 6-3, 13-11 in one hour and 43 minutes in Vienna. Kubot/Melo led the back-and-forth Match Tie-break 9-6 before Marach/Martin saved three match points and another at 9-10. Marach/Martin then held their own championship point at 11-10, but Kubot/Melo rattled off three consecutive points to clinch the ATP World Tour 500 crown on their fifth championship point. Murray Inches Closer In Battle For No. 1

Andy Murray is now six wins and a Novak Djokovic loss away from achieving a lifelong dream of reaching No. 1 in the Emirates ATP Rankings. The Scot reached the Erste Bank Open 500 final on Saturday in Vienna because of a walkover from David Ferrer, who didn't play due to a muscle injury in his left leg.
