THE PERMUTATIONS! Find out who needs what to win the title
GUB A DUB DUB
Middlesex needed someone to step up having been inserted under thick cloud cover at Lord’s and falling to 57-3. Nick Gubbins was that man. Second only to Keaton Jennings in the run charts, he struck a quite brilliant century, underlying his stone cold temperament, and leading Middlesex past 200 before bad light curtailed play on Day One...

RUNNING UP THAT HIL
James Hildreth is a hero. End of. The Somerset batsman was pinned on the ankle by a Jake Ball delivery and could barely walk afterwards. Tom Abell came out as a runner and was pretty busy as Hildreth battled through the pain all the way to three figures, an incredible, Herculean effort. Chris Rogers also tonned up in a partnership of 269 but then Somerset lost five wickets for NO RUNS! That fourth batting point, which looked in the bag at 322-4 now looks out of reach at 322-9...
What a knock from @SomersetCCC's @dreth25! He's hobbling around out there but goes to his from 97 balls pic.twitter.com/O0yrD8xAuS

PEA FACTORY
It was a case of what might have been for Yorkshire. Bowling in friendly conditions they quickly had Middlesex 97-4 - Jack Brooks taking three - but then their catching deserted them. Three went down, two in the slips, and the league leaders crawled away from imminent danger.
.@YorkshireCCC have their th wicket & @timbresnan looks very happy about it!

WHAM BAM THANK YOU GLAM
Leicestershire walked on the field to bat at Grace Road and left the field batting at the day's end. The only thing was, an entire innings had come and gone in between. Skittled for 96 in the morning session, Glamorgan's Timm van der Gugten taking 5-52, they then dismissed the visitors for 199 before reaching 75-0 in their second dig. Eventful.
- yes, TEN - wickets before lunch & Leics are 96 ao! What did the @GlamCricket bowlers have for breakfast?!pic.twitter.com/Yp4Ntx0wrs

DROP ZONE
After the euphoria of Warwickshire's emphatic Royal London One-Day Cup triumph against Surrey, Ian Bell and co now face a real battle to stay up. With Hampshire ticking away nicely against Durham, Warwickshire accumulated just one bonus point after being skittled by Lancashire, who can secure their safety with a win. A tense few days lie ahead at Edgbaston...
