Just before the puck drops on the inaugural season of Seattle Kraken hockey on Tuesday night, the team and its home base, Climate Pledge Arena, have dropped a new app to help fans with a variety of services and experiences. Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena to feature Amazon’s ‘Just Walk Out’ tech to avoid lines in select stores

Amazon may have skipped putting its name on the outside of the renovated stadium where the Seattle Kraken will begin NHL play next month, but the company is bringing its technology to the inside of Climate Pledge Arena. The arena announced Wednesday that four food and beverage stores inside the arena will be equipped with “Just Walk Out” cashierless technology like that used in Amazon Go convenience stores and some Fresh grocery stores. Let’s get Kraken! Seattle hockey team has a name and logo as sports mystery finally surfaces

Seattle’s professional hockey team finally has a name — and it’s time to get Kraken. In a much-hyped branding reveal on Thursday morning from the construction site where a new Seattle arena is being built, the Seattle Kraken team name, logo and colors were unveiled in a live video announcement.
