Seattle’s CenturyLink Field, home of the Seahawks and Sounders FC, is being renamed Lumen Field, the Seahawks announced on Thursday. The new name comes after a rebranding of CenturyLink to Lumen Technologies, which was previously announced in September. The new stadium name is pending approval later Thursday by the Washington State Public Stadium Authority, the Washington state public corporation owner of the stadium, according to the Seahawks. T-Mobile Field? Uncarrier Park? Report says wireless giant to assume naming rights for Seattle baseball stadium

The Safeco Field signage came down from Seattle’s baseball stadium a week ago, and according to a new report, the T-Mobile name will be up in time for the 2019 season. Forbes reported Thursday that the Bellevue, Wash.-based wireless carrier is the new naming rights partner with the Seattle Mariners. The report is based on anonymous sources who spoke on background. A Mariners spokesperson told GeekWire that there is no agreement yet.
