Amazon reaches NFL playoffs: Report says tech giant has deal to stream wildcard game this season
Amazon is taking its NFL streaming rights beyond “Thursday Night Football” and into the playoffs. The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that the tech giant has reached a deal to broadcast one of two new wildcard games added to the schedule this season. The agreement was reportedly announced to team owners during a video meeting. Amazon inked a multi-year streaming agreement with the NFL earlier this year to renew its partnership, which brings 11 games broadcast by FOX on television to an audience watching on Prime Video and Amazon-owned Twitch across a variety of sites, apps and devices.
