12th Man can dress up Blue Friday in Seattle with a Seahawks helmet filter on Snapchat

Blue Friday in Seattle usually means you or your co-workers are wearing Seattle Seahawks jerseys or some such to work in preparation for the upcoming football action on Sunday. Now you can add a helmet to whatever spirited ensemble you’ve got going. Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright has an official helmet as part of the team, but in a tweet he’s wearing a helmet filter over his head to promote a new Snapchat gimmick for the team’s fans on social media. Twitch ‘Pulse’ adds Facebook-like social media tool to streaming giant’s front page

Twitch just got a lot more social. On Monday, the Amazon-owned video-game streaming company rolled out a new social media tool called Pulse. The feature allows users to post messages, photo and video for the friends and followers. Other streamers can comment or react to your posts. It essentially mimics Facebook, but on Twitch’s platform. Unlike Facebook, posts will appear chronologically, at least for now. Seahawks QB Russell Wilson is top-ranked athlete in social media — 2 more Seattle stars make list

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is trying to win another NFL championship, but on Tuesday he locked up the title of Most Valued Athlete in Social Media for the second straight year. Wilson was joined in the top 10 by his Seahawks teammate Richard Sherman. And fellow Seattle sports star Robinson Cano of the Mariners was the top-ranking social athlete among Major League Baseball players. The ranking of U.S. professional and Olympic athletes was compiled by social measurement platform MVPindex and digital sports network 120 Sports.
