Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena Transformed Into An Airbnb For Audi Cup

Airbnb and Audi took the saying “from the comfort of your own home” to new levels when watching live soccer.

During the recent 2017 Audi Cup, held at the start of this month, both brands teamed up to transform a part of the pitch-side section of German team Bayer Munich’s stadium — Allianz Arena — into the interior of a home. In a competition run on the Airbnb website, it asked a family to describe “the best football-related memory they’ve shared together” in order to win.

The winners not only got to catch four games of football, but also stayed overnight in the Allianz Arena, with two beds and one bathroom created for the competition. Bayern Munich’s Jérôme Boateng, also acted as the winning family’s host throughout their stay at the Allianz Arena, as detailed in a mock user profile for the World Cup-winning defender.

In addition to this, Audi’s self-driving car, called “Jack,” picked the winning family up and brought them to the stadium ahead of the games, while the family’s children were able to escort their favorite players onto the field for the kickoffs. They were also allowed to celebrate with the winning teams after the matches on the pitch.
