The Chicago Bulls organization recently released an official team app that allows a more hands-on experience for fans of the NBA team. It is their first team app that will look to expand the team’s digital presence and make sure fans can access information about the Bulls constantly and consistently.
Available for Apple products, the app opens up to a home page with an awesome graphic of the Chicago skyline. Above the skyline there is a montage of action shots of Bulls players.
The home page allows viewers to see the most recently played game as well as the upcoming game for the Bulls. App users also have the option to click on the most recent team news as well as the upcoming Bulls schedule.
What makes the homepage of the Chicago Bulls app unique is the user’s ability to read the latest tweets from the Chicago Bulls Twitter account. Users can also send a tweet from the app that automatically includes #bulls.

News
The news section of the app is split into three categories: news stories, photos, and podcasts. The news section highlights feature stories and game recaps that can be found on the team’s website. High quality photos from each game can be found under the photos tab, and the podcast tab allows fans to listen to Sam Smith’s weekly podcast about the team. The news section allows users to catch up with the team by reading, looking at pictures, or listening to a podcast.
Videos
The videos section is filled with game highlights, player interviews, and plays of the week. The high quality video allows fans to view various types of videos relating to the Bulls instead of waiting for highlights to come on television.
Team
The team section of the app is perfect for stats fans. In this area fans can view the roster, team and player statistics, team averages and where they rank compared to the rest of the NBA, and the team leaders.
Standings
The standings section lets fans view where the Bulls place within their division, as well as where every other team in the NBA stands in their respective divisions. This prevents fans from having to go online to check team rankings.
Schedule
The schedule aspect of the app features an interactive monthly calendar of the team’s home and away games. Home games are highlighted in red, while away games are highlighted in black. Each calendar day shows the date and time of the game, as well as the opposing team’s logo.
