Footballer Xherdan Shaqiri Launches Fan App With Social TV Company Joiz Global


Just under a week ago, Swiss soccer player Xherdan Shaqiri was the name on everyone’s lips following an audacious- and simply outrageous- 18-yard overhead kick goal during the ongoing European Championships. Perhaps spurred on by his individual success, the player has now joined forces with Joiz Global to launch a fan app to further engage with his growing fan-base.

The 24 year-old’s new app will provide news, live streaming, video-on-demand and messaging capabilities. It is, though, the exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews with the player himself which might excite fans the most.

Joiz Global provides community marketing and social media platforms for those wishing to engage further with their audiences, and is certainly expecting its newest partnership to be a success.

What is perhaps more interesting is how the app might be used as an advertisement tool. The Premier League midfielder already has partnerships with Volkswagen, Coke, Nike and Hublot, all of which will be offered the chance to use the app for their own marketing interests.

The new app is currently free and available for both iOS and Android, and can be downloaded via the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Whilte Switzerland are now out of Euro 2016, the player will undoubtedly continue to be a focal point for his club team, Stoke City, in future Premier League seasons. If the midfielder maintains his taste for the spectacular, you can expect downloads to skyrocket.
