The Colombians dictated play against Gonzalez/Marrero by winning 88 per cent of points on first serve and broke three times to wrap up the victory on the one-hour mark.

"It's great to repeat here," said Cabal. "We love Buenos Aires. The city, the stadium here and the food too."

"We had a pretty difficult draw but we arrived playing well," Farah said. "We showed that and we hope to maintain it for the rest of the year. Our expectations for 2017 are very high. We want to fight for Grand Slam and Masters 1000 titles and the goal is to qualify for the ATP Finals at the end of the year."

Cabal/Farah lifted a ninth Tour trophy as a team and have accumulated 250 Emirates ATP Doubles Rankings points to go with $29,610 in prize money.
