Rojer Records 300th Doubles Match Win

Jean-Julien Rojer recorded the 300th doubles match win of his career by partnering Horia Tecau to a 6-4, 6-4 victory at the ABN Amro World Tennis Tournament over second-seeded Spaniards Feliciano Lopez and Marc Lopez

The 2015 champions now go on to face fourth seeds Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo or wild cards Wesley Koolhof and Matwe Middelkoop in the semi-finals.

“I’m super excited about the milestone, 300 wins, it’s a very nice achievement for me. I’m very proud of the 300 wins,” said Rojer, who has clinched 21 ATP World Tour-level doubles titles so far in his career. “Of course, I’d like to thank all of my former partners and my current partner Horia (Tecau). I didn’t think I could achieve this when I started playing doubles, it’s very satisfying.”

Nicolas Mahut won the title in Rotterdam last year partnering Canadian Vasek Pospisil and in 2017 is joined by countryman Pierre-Hugues Herbert as the top seeds.

The Frenchmen prevailed in a Champions tie-break 4-6, 7-6(6), 10-6 to fend off the challenge of sixth seeds Mate Pavic and Alexander Peya.

Ivan Dodig and Marcel Granollers will attempt to oust the top seeds in the final four having dispatched Tomas Berdych and Rohan Bopanna 6-3, 6-4.
