Granollers/Dodig Through To Last Eight At Roland Garros

Seventh seeds Ivan Dodig and Marcel Granollers continued their strong clay-court season by reaching the quarter-finals on Saturday at Roland Garros. Joining them in the last eight are 16th seeds Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah, and a host of first-time Grand Slam quarter-finalists. Dodig/Granollers saw off 11th seeds Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau, 6-3, 5-7, 6-3. Dodig prevailed at this event in 2015 (w/Melo) and Granollers was runner-up in 2014 (w/M. Lopez). This is their fourth quarter-final on clay this year, having finished runners-up at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event in Rome, and recorded quarter-final showings at Masters 1000 events in Monte-Carlo and Madrid. Dodig/Granollers Set Rome Final Vs Herbert/Mahut

Ivan Dodig and Marcel Granollers advanced to the Internazionali BNL d’Italia final with a 6-3, 6-3 upset over top seeds Henri Kontinen and John Peers on Saturday. The Croatian/Spanish tandem saved all four break points they faced in the 70-minute victory. The will look to add to their 2017 title haul, which also includes a trophy in Rotterdam, when they face Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut. The French duo rallied in a Match Tie-break to beat defending champions Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan and advance to the final, their first of the season as a team. Dodig/Granollers Crowned Rotterdam Champions

Ivan Dodig and Marcel Granollers have clinched their first ATP World Tour title as a pairing at the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament with a 7-6(5), 6-3 victory over Dutch wild card team Wesley Koolhof and Matwe Middelkoop. Dodig/Granollers, playing just their second event together, had dispatched top seeds Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert for a place in the Rotterdam final, whilst Koolhof/Middelkoop were looking to add to their Apia International Sydney trophy they won last month.
