Marach/Pavic Continue Unbeaten Streak

Oliver Marach and Mate Pavic reached their fourth final of the 2018 ATP World Tour season at the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament after beating Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau 6-1, 6-3 on Saturday. The second seeds won their 17th straight match to start 2018, beating their opponents in just 55 minutes. The duo won 82 per cent of points on serve and broke the 2015 champions on four occasions to move into the final. Marach and Pavic won their first three tournaments of the season in Doha, Auckland and Melbourne Park. Former Champions Win Rotterdam Opener

Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau began their campaign for a second title at the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Feliciano Lopez and Marc Lopez on Tuesday. The 2015 champions converted all three break point opportunities they created against the Spaniards, with a 74 per cent success rate on serve. The Dutch-Romanian duo next faces the Dutch wild card team of Robin Haase and Matwe Middelkoop, who beat compatriots Jasper Smit and Jesse Timmermans 6-2, 6-4. Dabrowski/Pavic Capture Australian Open Mixed Doubles Crown

Gabriela Dabrowski of Canada and Croatia’s Mate Pavic saved one championship point in the Match tie-break to capture the Australian Open mixed doubles title on Sunday. Fifth seeds Pavic and Dabrowski scraped past India’s Rohan Bopanna and Timea Babos of Hungary, the eighth seeds, 2-6, 6-4, 11-9 in 68 minutes under a closed roof on Rod Laver Arena. The tournament’s organisers had enforced the extreme heat policy as the temperature neared 40 Celsius (104 Fahrenheit).
