Ryder Cup legends resign DP World Tour membership ahead of LIV Golf sanctions

Sergio Garcia, Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood, three of Europe’s most successful Ryder Cup players, have resigned their membership of the DP World Tour on the day that they were due to have paid fines for taking part in LIV Golf's inaugural event at Centurion Club last year and face further sanctions for breaches of the Tour’s Conflicting Tournament Regulation. Barry Lane passes away aged 62

Barry Lane, a Ryder Cup player, five-time European Tour winner and eight-time Legends Tour winner, has died at the age of 62 following a short illness. Lane made 693 starts on the European Tour – now known as the DP World Tour – and is fourth on the Tour’s all-time appearance list.
