Molteni/Zeballos Dethrone Champions To Clinch Buenos Aires Title

Home favourites Andres Molteni and Horacio Zeballos stunned two-time defending champions Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah 6-3, 5-7, 10/3 to win the Argentina Open on Sunday. Molteni and Zeballos became the first home team to win the title since 2010, where Zeballos triumphed alongside Sebastian Prieto. Cabal and Farah were bidding to win the title for a third consecutive year. Duran/Molteni Claim Umag Doubles Title

Guillermo Duran and Andres Molteni claimed their first team ATP World Tour doubles title at the Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag on Saturday. The third-seeded Argentines needed one hour and 36 minutes to dispatch Croatian wild cards Marin Draganja and Tomislav Draganja 6-3, 6-7(4), 10-6. They fired four aces, while converting four of nine break chances. Duran and Molteni had an opportunity to close it out in the second set, but failed to convert on a pair of match points in the ninth game. Playing together for the first time this week, the unseeded pairing captured the Open Parc Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Lyon doubles title, prevailing against New Zealand's Marcus Daniell and Brazilian Marcelo Demoliner 6-3, 3-6, 10-5 on Saturday.
