Challenger Q&A: Norrie Reacts To Stunning Win In Binghamton

It was one of the more incredible comebacks of the year on the ATP Challenger Tour. Jordan Thompson had one hand on the trophy at the Levene Gouldin & Thompson Tennis Challenger, but Cameron Norrie pried it away from the Aussie in dramatic fashion. The 21-year-old Brit, at No. 221 in the Emirates ATP Rankings, stormed back from a 1-4 0/30 deciding-set deficit to upset top seed and 86th-ranked Jordan Thompson for his first Challenger crown. Norrie, who would take the match 6-4, 0-6, 6-4, had dropped five consecutive service games in the second and third sets. Harrison Reaches First Challenger SF In Five Years

Five years after reaching his maiden ATP Challenger Tour semi-final, Christian Harrison has accomplished that feat once again at the $75,000 event in Binghamton. The American defeated No. 2 seed and #NextGenATP player Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan in a highly competitive three-set match on Friday.  It’s safe to say plenty has happened since Harrison’s previous Challenger semi-final in Lexington in July 2012. The 23 year old endured a bone infection and seven surgeries that took him out of competition for more than two years. College Star Blumberg Thriving In Challenger Debut

William Blumberg may have the coolest summer job out of all his friends at the University of North Carolina.  The rising sophomore is taking his first steps in pro events and has already enjoyed success on the ATP Challenger Tour. In just his fourth pro tournament and his first Challenger, Blumberg is through to the quarter-finals of the $75,000 event in Binghamton.
