On The Line: John McEnroe

It is no secret that John McEnroe is one of the best players in tennis history. The left-handed serve-and-volleyer reached the top of both the ATP Rankings and the ATP Doubles Rankings. He would win 77 tour-level titles during his career and record 877 wins (83 against the Top 10), and he is now a consistent force on the ATP Champions Tour. But there is more to McEnroe than what you saw on the court — which the American described to ATPWorldTour.com as, "the good, the bad and the ugly". Want to learn more about one of the ATP World Tour's most recognisable figures? We caught up with him to find out about his favourite memories, whom he admires and...

On The Line: Jeremy Chardy

Jeremy Chardy has enjoyed plenty of success during the March Masters thus far. The World No. 90 reached the Round of 16 at the BNP Paribas Open with two Top 25 triumphs and is into the Round of 16 at the Miami Open presented by Itau after ousting Nitto ATP Finals champion Grigor Dimitrov on Sunday. The 31-year-old will attempt to make his first tour-level quarter-final since last February in Montpellier when he faces No. 20 seed Milos Raonic on Tuesday.   The Frenchman, who has climbed as high as No. 25 in the ATP Rankings (January 2013) tells ATPWorldTour.com about the player whom he looked up to, what he'd like to do after his career and more.  What's your biggest passion?...

Jared Donaldson, Future Investment Banker?

Jared Donaldson hardly had a regular schooling life. The American, who grew up in Rhode Island in the U.S.A., moved to Argentina when he was 14 to train for two and a half years. But Donaldson, still only 21, has knowledge beyond his years. During this “On The Line” Q&A with ATPWorldTour.com, Donaldson, who next faces 25th seed Feliciano Lopez at the Miami Open presented by Itau, discusses the "light topics" he's been reading lately, including books on leveraged buyouts and the classic Atlas Shrugged. Donaldson also shares what he might like to do years from now after his tennis career finishes. What was the last book you read? For a while I was reading a lot of books on options...

On The Line: Dudi Sela

It appeared that it would be another disappointing year at Indian Wells for 32-year-old Israeli Dudi Sela. After winning just five games in the quarter-finals of the Oracle Challenger Series Indian Wells, the veteran won just three games in the second round of qualifying at the BNP Paribas Open, held at the same site. But a late withdrawal allowed Sela into the main draw, and suddenly he is into the third round at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event for the first time since 2010 (l. to Robredo).  Sela, who plays Marcos Baghdatis for a spot in the Round of 16 on Tuesday, spoke with ATPWorldTour.com about what would help his career, and what passion he wants to pursue...

On The Line: Radu Albot

Radu Albot surprised third seed John Isner at the inaugural New York Open on Wednesday evening to earn his first victory against an opponent inside the Top 20 of the ATP Rankings.  It does not get any easier for the Moldovan, who will face former World No. 4 Kei Nishikori in the quarter-finals. But the Japanese superstar is not taking Albot lightly. "He’s a very good grinder player and he doesn’t miss much," Nishikori said of the World No. 91. "I’ve got to really focus against him.” ATPWorldTour.com spoke to Albot after his second-round triumph against the home favourite, discussing his passions, what he wants to do after his career and more. What’s your biggest passion outside of sport and...
