Nishikori Bests Del Potro; Zverev Upsets Wawrinka

Third seed Kei Nishikori broke through against two-time Swiss Indoors Basel champion Juan Martin del Potro on Friday, recording his first win over the Argentine in five attempts to advance to the semi-finals, 7-5, 6-4. A single break of serve in each set was all Nishikori needed to move into the final four. The Japanese star saved all eight break points against him during the match, while accumulating 10 break point chances of his own. Nishikori hadn’t taken a set off del Potro in any of their four previous meetings. He’s now won 55 ATP World Tour matches in 2016, more than any other season. Murray Continues Isner Dominance In Vienna

Top seed Andy Murray continued his unbeaten streak against John Isner on Friday at the Erste Bank Open 500, improving his FedEx ATP Head2Head record over the big server to 7-0 with a convincing 6-1 6-3 quarter-final win. Next up for the Brit in the semi-finals is fifth seed David Ferrer, a 6-3 3-6 7-5 winner over Viktor Troicki in a marathon match. Murray leads his FedEx ATP Head2Head rivalry over Ferrer 14-6.
