The ATP ACES For Charity programme presented a $15,000 grant to CSJ leMoNaiD, the Apia International Sydney’s charity of choice, on Thursday. ATP Executive Vice President, International Group, Alison Lee and Sydney's Tournament Director Alistair Macdonald were on hand to present the cheque to Juliette Jones and her family. One of the nine charitable causes nominated by ATP World Tour players, tournaments and alumni, CSJ leMoNaiD was founded by 13-year-old Juliette with a mission to stop Motor Neurone Disease (ALS). Radek Stepanek, who is bidding to compete in the Australian Open main draw for the 14th time, earned a hard-fought 6-3, 6-7(4), 8-6 victory over Slovenian Blaz Kavcic in two hours and 41 minutes on Thursday in the second round of qualifying.
