Ramos Vinolas To Face Fognini In Moscow

No. 2 seed Albert Ramos-Vinolas survived 10 aces from home favourite Evgeny Donskoy to win 6-4, 6-7(4), 6-4 in the second round of the VTB Kremlin Cup on Wednesday. Donskoy saved two match points to force a second-set tie-break, which he won to extend the match, but the Russian succumbed after a three-hour battle. Ramos-Vinolas will face Fabio Fognini in the quarter-finals. The Italian broke serve five times in downing countryman Paolo Lorenzi 7-5, 4-6, 6-1 in two hours and 13 minutes. Ramos-Vinolas Wins Thriller To Reach Chengdu Final

Albert Ramos-Vinolas backed up his victory over top seed Dominic Thiem by advancing to his first ATP World Tour hard-court final at the Chengdu Open on Saturday. The fifth-seeded Spaniard ousted third seed Grigor Dimitrov 7-6(6), 1-6, 7-6(3) in a titanic tussle lasting just under three hours. He will now face #NextGen star Karen Khachanov in the final.
