His all-time great serve, which helped him win 32 tour-level titles and finish in the year-end Top 10 nine straight years; his competitive personality, which endeared him to millions of fans; and his leadership – the American carried the U.S. flag for years, hauling the burden of sky-high expectations after the preceding generation of Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, Michael Chang and Jim Courier. Roddick Talks Federer Dominance, What Happened To His Trophies

Andy Roddick has had a busy start to his induction weekend at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport. He toured the museum on Friday, checking out his own exhibit as well as the rest of the museum, which is divided into three sections: The Birth of Tennis (1874-1918); The Popular Game (1918-1968); and The Open Era (1968-present). Roddick On Federer: 'He's Lucky I Retired'

“I beat him the last time. He's lucky I retired,” Andy Roddick joked in Melbourne on Monday during a press conference to promote his induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. The former World No. 1 was referring to Roger Federer, whom he defeated in three sets at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 in Miami in 2012, their last tour-level meeting. Roddick To Be Inducted Into Tennis Hall Of Fame

Former World No. 1 Andy Roddick has been elected to receive the highest honour in tennis – induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Of the honour, Roddick stated, “It's really special. I love this sport and I love being part of it. I'm moved to know that my presence in the sport will be forever part of tennis history, and I am just incredibly honoured to be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
