California is set to host two new ATP Challenger Tour tournaments from 2018. As part of the new Oracle Challenger Series, the first event will be held at the Newport Beach Tennis Club 20-28 January. The second will be held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden 24 February-4 March in the lead up to the BNP Paribas Open, the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament.
