Challenger Stars Embrace Savannah Community

Players from the ATP Challenger Tour have displayed their passion for the sport in community events at the St. Joseph's/Candler Savannah Challenger this week. Main draw wild card Christian Harrison was joined by local qualifying wild cards Sean Sculley, Blake Croyder, and Damon Gooch to take part in Kids Day down in Savannah, Georgia. The players passed on their expertise in a variety of interactive tennis activities, while some children took to the courts with some creative face paints, before they were offered the opportunity to attend the tournament to watch elite players in action. “My favourite part was just seeing little kids loving being out on a tennis court, looking back, that’s what it was like for me growing...

I was exhausted by a long seven weeks of constant travel and tournament play. I missed my family and being home. Challenger Stars Give Back In Tallahassee

The Tallahassee tennis community has been hosting professional players on the ATP Challenger Tour this week, while also inspiring the future generations with a series of events. Over 500 children aged 10 and under, from local elementary schools, were introduced to the game of tennis through one-hour long sessions. World No. 136 Tennys Sandgren and quarter-finalist at the $75,000 Challenger Bradley Klahn passed on their expertise during the tennis clinics, before the children were offered the opportunity to attend the tournament to watch elite players in action. “That was fantastic, it was really nice to be a part of the event,” said Sandgren. “Here in Tallahassee they do a great job with getting the community involved and getting school children...
