The story of the bottom half of the US Open draw took another twist on Friday as Diego Schwartzman ousted fifth seed and 2014 US Open champion Marin Cilic in the third round. The Argentine battled from a set down as he edged Wimbledon runner-up Cilic 4-6, 7-5, 7-5, 6-4. World No. 33 Schwartzman is through to the fourth round of a Grand Slam championship for the first time and will take on 16th seed Lucas Pouille.
