Eighth seed Dominic Thiem is through to the fourth round of the BNP Paribas Open after defeating Mischa Zverev 6-1, 6-3 on another warm day at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Monday. The Austrian nullified Zverev’s serve-and-volley tactics as he advanced in just under an hour. The Austrian saved five of the six break points he faced as he claimed his 15th win of the season.
