Herbert/Mahut Qualify For Nitto ATP Finals

Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut will attempt to earn their first Nitto ATP Finals trophy when they arrive at The O2 for the third time this November. The Frenchmen join Lukasz Kubot/Marcelo Melo, defending champions Henri Kontinen/John Peers, 2015 winners Jean-Julien Rojer/Horia Tecau, Jamie Murray/Bruno Soares, four-time season finale champions Bob Bryan/Mike Bryan and Roland Garros winners Ryan Harrison/Michael Venus in the 2017 field. Kontinen/Peers Close In On No. 1 With Shanghai Crown

Better late than never. One year after coming up just short of lifting the trophy, Henri Kontinen and John Peers have their title at the Shanghai Rolex Masters. Top seeds Kontinen and Peers defeated second seeds Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo 6-4, 6-2 to emerge victorious in Shanghai, claiming their second ATP World Tour Masters 1000 title as a team. The Finnish-Aussie duo had fallen to John Isner and Jack Sock in last year's final, but needed just 69 minutes to dispatch Kubot and Melo on Sunday. Top Teams Set Shanghai Final Showdown

It will be No. 1 vs. No. 2 on Sunday, when top seeds Henri Kontinen and John Peers battle second seeds Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo for the Shanghai Rolex Masters title. The four leading teams in the Emirates ATP Doubles Race To London were in action on semi-final Saturday at the Qi Zhong Tennis Center.
