ATP Expands Aggregation Of Media Rights

The ATP announced on Friday the continued aggregation and centralisation of broadcast rights on the ATP World Tour, with 12 tournaments across the ATP World Tour 250 category being pooled and sold together in partnership with ATP Media, the broadcast arm of the ATP World Tour. Following the success of the centralisation of rights across the Nitto ATP Finals, the nine ATP World Tour Masters 1000s, and the 13 ATP World Tour 500 tournaments, which has seen viewership more than double over the past 10 years, the ATP is pursuing a similar strategy with continued aggregation and centralisation at the 250-level. “Media rights is one of the biggest growth areas in our sport, and we’ve seen tremendous results both commercially...

Monfils Doubles His Fun In Eastbourne

Second seed Gael Monfils picked up two emphatic wins on Thursday at the Aegon International on Eastbourne, closing out his day with a 7-6(4), 6-0 victory over Bernard Tomic to reach the semi-finals. Monfils prevailed earlier in the day over local wild card Cameron Norrie and Tomic upset sixth seed Mischa Zverev. But after Monfils prevailed in a tight first-set, the Australian ran out of gas and the Frenchman found a new gear to storm through the remainder of the match. World No. 4 Novak Djokovic became the first player to reach the Aegon International semi-finals on Thursday as organisers of the ATP World Tour 250 tournament played catch-up due to rain. Djokovic, who has a 3-3 record in grass-court finals, overcame American Donald Young 6-2, 7-6(9) at Devonshire Park in one hour and 35 minutes. "I enjoyed it, especially in the second set," said Djokovic. "The first set went my way and I played well. I felt good on the court and had some break point opportunities early in the second set... I think Donald started playing with less unforced errors, playing with more variety and using his forehand very well from all over the court. "He served for the...

Sea Air Helping To Re-Charge Djokovic

Novak Djokovic believes that his trip to the south coast of England to compete at the Aegon International will have a positive effect on every aspect of his game. Speaking after his 25th match win of the year on Wednesday, the Serbian star admitted, “I came to Eastbourne because I wanted to experience match play – mentally, physically and tactically – every way you look at it. Because grass is a different surface from any other, I would like to get as much time on the court as possible. “The movement is very different from clay or hard courts. You've got to be very soft, very gentle, but yet very reactive… I’m trying to get as much of the match...
