Dimitrov Keeps Rolling In Rotterdam

Grigor Dimitrov kept up his hot run of form on Wednesday as he rallied from a set down to beat Mischa Zverev 6-7(4), 6-2, 6-4 in the first round of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam. The Bulgarian is coming off his second ATP World Tour title of the season, on home soil at the Garanti Koza Sofia Open (d. Goffin), and has a 15-1 match record in 2017. He opened his campaign this year with victory in Brisbane (d. Nishikori) before going on a run to the Australian Open semi-finals, where he lost to Rafael Nadal in five sets. The Secrets Of Dimitrov's Success Revealed...

Grigor Dimitrov is ripping apart 2017. The 25-year-old Bulgarian comes into Rotterdam this week 14-1 on the season, with two ATP 250 titles in Brisbane and Sofia, and a strong run to the semi-finals of the Australian Open sandwiched in between. Dimitrov played what many considered the highest-quality match in Melbourne this year – a five-set, semi-final thriller against Rafael Nadal. Dimitrov rose two spots this week in the Emirates ATP Rankings, up to No. 12. His highest ranking was No. 8 in August, 2014.
