Sock Continues Winning Ways

Jack Sock recorded yet another win this season on Sunday at the Miami Open presented by Itau, fighting hard under the lights to defeat Jiri Vesely 6-3, 7-6(0) and reach the round of 16. A single break of serve was all the 13th seed needed to take the opening set. Vesely raced to a 5-3 lead in the second set, but Sock fought back to level the match and was dominant throughout the tie-break. A volley winner on his first match point wrapped up the contest after one hour and 39 minutes. Soares/Murray March On In Miami

Fourth seeds Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares sailed into the quarter-finals on Sunday at the Miami Open presented by Itau, recording a dominant 6-0, 6-3 win over Paolo Lorenzi and Joao Sousa.  Murray/Soares have dropped just 10 games in their first two matches this tournament. Nadal Shakes Off Rusty Start To Advance In Miami

Rafael Nadal recovered from one of the most lopsided starts of his career to advance past the streaky Philipp Kohlschreiber 0-6, 6-2, 6-3 on Sunday at the Miami Open presented by Itau.
