Anything Is Pospisil: Canadian Shocks Murray

Qualifier Vasek Pospisil claimed the biggest win of his career in dramatic fashion on Saturday night at the BNP Paribas Open as he stunned World No. 1 Andy Murray 6-4, 7-6(5) to reach the third round in Indian Wells.  "If I pick a handful of great moments in my career, this is definitely one of them," said Pospisil. "To beat the No. 1 player and somebody as accomplished as Andy, one of the greats of the game, is amazing." "I think I had some ups and downs a little bit, but in general I was feeling good," said Wawrinka. My Masters 1000: Bob Bryan & Mike Bryan

Which is your favourite Masters 1000 event and why? Bob Bryan: Indian Wells. It was the one that took us the longest to win [their 14th appearance, in 2013]. It felt the sweetest. We had our family down on the court. Just a good memory from that one. Which is your favourite Masters 1000 city and why? Mike Bryan: I would say it's tough to beat Monte-Carlo. It's like a resort. You're looking out at the water every time you wake up. You can basically hit a ball into the ocean. So beautiful. We know the prince [Albert II]. He's invited us to his castle up on the hill. It's tough to beat that scenery. If you could win only...

Thiem Passes Chardy Test At Indian Wells

Eighth seed Dominic Thiem made a winning start at the BNP Paribas Open on Saturday as he dismissed Jeremy Chardy 6-2, 6-4 in 74 minutes. The Austrian saved five of the six break points he faced as he claimed his 15th win of the season. The 23-year-old Thiem, who reached the fourth round at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden last year (l. to Tsonga), is coming off a successful February, which saw him capture his eighth ATP World Tour title in Rio de Janeiro (d. Carreno Busta). Thiem goes on to face No. 29 seed Mischa Zverev, who defeated Joao Sousa 6-4, 6-3. Zverev is making his first appearance in the third round in Indian Wells, just two years removed...
