Andy Murray absorbed the best of David Goffin and turned in a masterclass performance on Friday to reach the Shanghai Rolex Masters semi-finals with a 6-2, 6-2 victory. The Scot has now won 16 sets in a row on the ATP World Tour, having come into Shanghai on the back of his fifth tour-level title of the season at the China Open in Beijing, where he did not drop a set all week. Kontinen/Peers Boost London Bid With Shanghai QF Win

Henri Kontinen and John Peers boosted their Barclays ATP World Tour Finals qualification bid as they reached the Shanghai Rolex Masters semi-finals. The Finnish/Australian duo inched their way up to No. 7 in the Emirates ATP Doubles Race To London with 3,070 points, after beating Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares 6-3, 7-6(4) on Friday.
