Bryan Bros Save M.P. To Advance To Quarter-finals

Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan, the recent Miami Open presented by Itaú champions, had made at least the semi-finals at five of their seven tournaments this season. Yet the five-time Monte-Carlo champions were on the brink of defeat Thursday against wild cards Romain Arneodo and Hugo Nys in their opener at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters. But after the left-handed twin, Bob, beat a net-rushing Arneodo with a powerful forehand to save match point in the Match Tie-break, the Americans advanced to the quarter-finals with a 6-7(5), 6-0, 11-9 victory. The fourth seeds, who turn 40 on 29 April, are looking to win a third title at the Monte-Carlo Country Club since 2014. They will next face defending champion Pablo Cuevas...

Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan will turn 40 on 29 April. But the six-time Houston champions are showing no signs of slowing down. The Americans advanced to the semi-finals of the Fayez Sarofim & Co. U.S. Men's Clay Court Championship on Thursday, beating another team of brothers in Ken Skupski and Neal Skupski 4-6, 6-3, 10-6. The Bryans raised their level after dropping the first set. They didn't face a break point in the second set, and in the Match Tie-break, they won all three second-serve return points. Isner, Bryans, Tiafoe Help With Hurricane Recovery

The ATP World Tour players saw the same devastating photos from Hurricane Harvey in Houston, and they all asked the same question: “How can we help?” Bob Bryan, Mike Bryan, Frances Tiafoe, John Isner, Kevin Anderson and Sam Querrey compete at tournaments around the world, and they all call somewhere else “home” when they're not traveling. Yet they still thought of Houston as Hurricane Harvey dumped about 30 inches of rain and displaced almost 30,000 people in the southeastern Texas city last August. “From the start, 'It was how can we help? How can we make a difference? How do we help get Houston back on its feet?'” said Bronwyn Greer, Tournament Director at the Fayez Sarofim & Co. U.S....

The top seeds are looking to reach their fourth consecutive final on tour, having reached finals in Acapulco and Indian Wells before winning their 115th title as a team in Miami. There was mixed success for the twins’ fellow seeded teams in Texas, as Dustin Brown and Frances Tiafoe upset second...

First Quarter Review: Marach/Pavic, Bryans Pacing The Pack In 2018

The season is only three months old, but there has been plenty of excitement on the doubles court with one team dominating early and a pair of legends showing that they may have another No. 1 push in them. Marach/Pavic Begin Year With Tremendous Winning Streak Oliver Marach and Mate Pavic just missed out on a spot in last year’s Nitto ATP Finals, serving as alternates in the event before stepping in to win their only match against Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan, denying the twins a spot in the semi-finals. But Marach/Pavic showed early on this year that they have no intentions of serving as alternates at The O2 again — they want to qualify out right. The Austrian-Croatian...
