#NextGenATP Chung, Khachanov Into Third Round

#NextGenATP stars Hyeon Chung and Karen Khachanov scored big wins on Thursday at Roland Garros to reach the third round of a Grand Slam for the first time in their young careers.  Chung broke Denis Istomin seven times in scoring a convincing 6-1, 7-5, 6-1 win. The 21-year-old Korean only lost seven points on his first serve and was extremely efficient with his volleys, winning 12 of 13 trips to the net. He fired a backhand winner to wrap up the match after one hour and 51 minutes. Chung improves his FedEx ATP Head2Head Series over Istomin 2-1, including a win this April in Barcelona. “I’m trying to focus all the time and enjoy myself on the court,” said Chung....

Murray Fights Hard For Klizan Win

World No. 1 Andy Murray fought hard to avoid at Roland Garros on Thursday when he knocked out the Slovakian Martin Klizan 6-7(3), 6-2, 6-2, 7-6(3) for a place in the third round. Murray recovered from a 1-4 deficit in the fourth set against No. 50-ranked Klizan, who competed with strapping on his left calf, and last year’s finalist will next face Argentine No. 29 seed Juan Martin del Potro. Wawrinka Prevails Past Tricky Match-Up In Paris

Stan Wawrinka hit 16 aces to persist through a tricky second-round contest on Thursday at Roland Garros, advancing 6-4, 7-6(5), 7-5 against Ukraine's Alexandr Dolgopolov, who had won a clay-court title earlier this year at the Argentina Open (d.
