Sascha Shining: Zverev Retains Munich Title

Alexander Zverev won his second successive BMW Open by FWU title on Sunday, defeating countryman and three-time champion Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-3, 6-3. "I am obviously very happy with how I played," said Zverev. "[I am] very happy to get back-to-back titles here [in Munich]. It is a very special event for me so I am very happy that I could defend my title." Dodig/Ram Win First Team Title In Munich

Ivan Dodig and Rajeev Ram won their first team title on Sunday, defeating third seeds Nikola Mektic and Alexander Peya 6-3, 7-5 at the BMW Open by FWU. "Some important deciding points were crucial," reflected Dodig. "We were feeling better in those moments and that was the key." Marco Cecchinato clinched his first ATP World Tour title on Sunday, beating fellow first-time ATP World Tour finalist John Millman 7-5, 6-4 at the Gazprom Hungarian Open.
