Kyrgios/Zimonjic Shock Bryans In Indian Wells

Nick Kyrgios and Nenad Zimonjic proved to be a winning combination on the doubles court as they upset second seeds and two-time former champions Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan, 6-4, 3-6, 10-7, in the first round of the BNP Paribas Open on Saturday. The Australian/Serbian duo struck 13 aces as they prevailed in 69 minutes against the Bryans, who lifted the trophy in Indian Wells in 2013-14. Kyrgios is searching for his first ATP World Tour doubles crown alongside a stalwart of the game. The 40-year-old Zimonjic is a winner of 54 tour-level doubles titles, and is a two-time runner-up in the desert. Doubles was the hot ticket on Friday at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, with Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal all taking the court ahead of their singles campaigns. Teaming up with Bernard Tomic, Nadal survived a tense second-set tie-break to secure a 6-4, 7-6(7) victory over Pablo Carreno Busta and Joao Sousa in the night session on Stadium 1. Brazilians Triumph On Home Soil

For the first time in six years, an all-Brazilian team has claimed the doubles title at the Brasil Open. Rogerio Dutra Silva and Andre Sa lifted the trophy on home soil in Sao Paulo, defeating Marcus Daniell and Marcelo Demoliner 7-6(5), 5-7, 10-7. Soares/Murray Race To Acapulco Title

Top seeds Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares picked up their first ATP World Tour doubles title of 2017 on Saturday at Abierto Mexicano Telcel, racing to a 6-3, 6-3 victory over John Isner and Feliciano Lopez in Acapulco.  Murray/Soares maintained control from the beginning, not facing a break point in the opening set and capturing the lone break to grab the early advantage.
