Who's Going Where In The ATP Rankings After The Australian Open

The very top will remain unchanged, but the upsets and breakthroughs of the 2018 Australian Open will shake up other sections of the ATP Rankings when the new rankings are released on Monday, 29 January. At the top of the movers: South Korea's Hyeon Chung, who before this week had never beaten a Top 10 player and has since beaten fourth seed Alexander Zverev and former World No. 1 Novak Djokovic to reach his first Grand Slam quarter-final. Chung, who is the first South Korean – male or female – to reach a Grand Slam quarter-final, is currently No. 58 but is expected to break the Top 50 no matter what happens when he faces Tennys Sandgren of the U.S....

Medvedev Close To Top 50 Return, Mover Of The Week

No. 53 Daniil Medvedev, +31 The 21-year-old Russian captured his first ATP World Tour title at the Sydney International with victory over 18-year-old Australian wild card Alex de Minaur. It was the youngest tour-level final since Rafael Nadal defeated Novak Djokovic at the 2007 BNP Paribas Open. Medvedev rises up 31 places to No. 53 in the ATP Rankings, just five spots off his career-high of No. 48 on 24 July 2017. De Minaur jumped 40 positions to No. 127 in the new list.
