Schwartzman Reflects On Standing Ovation At Roland Garros

Diego Schwartzman may have lost his third round match to Novak Djokovic on Friday at Roland Garros, but he won plenty of new fans with his inspired play and fighting spirit. Shortly after Djokovic prevailed in their five-set tussle, both the Serbian and Court Philippe-Chatrier crowd rose to their feet to give Schwartzman a standing ovation for his effort. Goffin Gets Promising News On Ankle Injury

David Goffin had plenty of people worried after suffering a freak ankle injury in his third-round match on Friday against Horacio Zeballos, but the early reports for a speedy recovery are already encouraging. Top teams continue to bow out in doubles at Roland Garros as third seeds Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan, and fourth seeds Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo, suffered surprising second-round upsets on Friday. The top four seeds have all been eliminated before the round of 16 and only five seeds remain in the draw. Sam Groth and Robert Lindstedt handed the Bryan brothers their earliest exit since 2010 with a 7-6(4), 6-3 win.
