Djokovic Ends 2017 Season Due To Elbow Injury

Novak Djokovic announced on Wednesday that he will miss the rest of the 2017 ATP World Tour season in order to recover from a right elbow injury. Mervyn Rose: 1930-2017

Mervyn Rose, one of the leading players produced by Australia in the 1950s, who would later coach numerous players including WTA greats Billie Jean King, Margaret Court and Arantxa Sanchez Vicario, passed away on Sunday aged 87. Peter Doohan: 1961-2017

Peter Doohan, who recorded arguably the biggest upset in Open Era history over Boris Becker at Wimbledon in 1987, passed away on Friday aged 56 following a battle with Motor Neurone Disease (also known as ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Tennis Australia issued a statement, saying, “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Peter was unbeaten in Davis Cup representation.
