Andy Murray will make his return to the ATP World Tour in 2018 without the assistance of coach Ivan Lendl. Murray Trains With Thiem At The O2

Andy Murray returned to The O2 on Saturday to practise with Dominic Thiem for two hours ahead of the Nitto ATP Finals, which begins Sunday. The former World No. 1 and last year’s champion at the season finale was joined by coach Jamie Delgado and fitness trainer Matt Little. Murray, who captured the season finale crown last year, has not played a tour-level match since losing to Sam Querrey in the Wimbledon quarter-finals on 12 July. The 30-year-old Scot is expecting to return to the ATP World Tour at the start of the 2018 season. He ended his 2017 campaign, due to a hip injury, with a 25-10 match record.

Murray's Charity Auction To Benefit Children

ATP World Tour star Andy Murray will auction off tennis memorabilia, tickets to sporting events and other collectibles in an effort to raise money for children's charity groups. The online auction will be held ahead of the second annual Andy Murray Live fundraising drive in Glasgow. Items up for bid include a signed tennis racquet used by Murray's coach and tennis legend Ivan Lendl, tickets for the 2018 Ryder Cup, a boxing glove signed by British heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and other memorabilia. In celebration of the auction, a competition will also run which will see the winner pick up a signed, framed racquet used by Murray during this year’s Wimbledon Championships. Murray Announces Extended Break From Tennis

In a message to his fans on Wednesday, Andy Murray announced that he will be taking an extended break from tennis as he bids to rehabilitate the hip injury that has niggled him the past few months.
