FOX Sports bringing popular camera tech to NFL Playoffs, kicking off with game in Seattle

The NFL Playoffs kick off this weekend and FOX Sports is bringing along some popular regular-season technology to capture the action. FOX says it will be using its so-called “Megalodon” mirrorless camera system during four postseason games it’s broadcasting, including on Saturday when the Seattle Seahawks face the Los Angeles Rams at Lumen Field in Seattle. Fox Sports brings out drones, augmented reality, shot tracers for U.S. Open broadcast

FOX Sports is once again tapping new technology to enhance its golf broadcast. The company’s coverage of the 117th U.S. Open, one of four annual major championships on the PGA Tour, kicks off next week. FOX will use everything from augmented reality and drones as it tries to provide a better viewing experience for fans watching at home. FOX will broadcast Super Bowl in virtual reality for first time

If you won’t be in Houston for the Super Bowl next Sunday but want to feel like you’re there at the big game, new technology is helping make it happen. For the first time ever, NFL fans will be able watch the Super Bowl in virtual reality in near real-time. FOX announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with a company called LiveLike to broadcast highlight packages in VR.
