Five months after signing a high-profile streaming deal with the NFL worth a reported $10 million, Twitter will finally put its technology to the test tonight with its first attempt at live streaming an NFL game. Twitch will soon announce its ‘first deep product integration’ with Amazon

SAN FRANCISCO — The fruits of Amazon’s Twitch acquisition will be front-and-center later this month at TwitchCon. Twitch CEO Emmett Shear spoke at TechCrunch Disrupt on Wednesday morning in San Francisco and said that his live streaming company will make a “big announcement” related to Amazon at its conference in San Diego on Sept. 30. Twitter introduces app for streaming live sports on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Xbox One

Just in time for the first NFL game to stream on Twitter Thursday, the social media company has introduced a new version of its app for streaming live video on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Microsoft’s Xbox One. Users can stream Thursday’s game between the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets even if they don’t have a Twitter account or any sort of cable package.
