Testing Stretch 22, a new ‘stretch therapy’ startup backed by Expedia and Zillow founder Rich Barton

After two hours of pickup basketball the previous evening, I woke up on Friday morning last week feeling pretty sore. It was the perfect segue into my next story assignment: trying out Stretch 22, a new Seattle startup that promises to make you feel better with “stretch therapy.” Indeed, after a 25-minute lower body session with Stretch 22 co-founder Ja’Warren Hooker, I felt a little looser, a little lighter, and ready to ball out again. But are these new stretch studios, part of what The New York Times described last year as the “next fitness fad,” worth the cost? At least one big… Read More

Such was the case for grumbling Seattle Mariners fans on Wednesday as a new name was announced for the ballpark where the team plays its home games. With splashy, magenta-infused artist renderings of the stadium once called Safeco Field, Bellevue, Wash.-based wireless carrier T-Mobile confirmed that it would be taking over the naming rights for the next 25 years down at the intersections of First Avenue South, South… Read More

Mariners see magenta: T-Mobile Park is the new name for Seattle’s pro baseball stadium

Mariners fans, meet magenta. Seattle’s pro baseball stadium will be named T-Mobile Park for the next 25 years after a new deal between the Mariners and the Bellevue, Wash.-based wireless carrier announced Wednesday. For those asking, the T-Mobile magenta coloring will be visible only at night on lighting on front rotunda entrance and roof trusts. Inside of park will remain the same other than some small signage. pic.twitter.com/QHz8iiPYac — Greg Johns (@GregJohnsMLB) December 19, 2018 Earlier reports indicated that T-Mobile would take the naming rights from Safeco Insurance, which announced last year that its 20-year agreement would come to an… Read More
